Why do adolescents need the Freedom Kids program?
If ever an adolescent has felt out of place, disconnected, confused, bullied, worthless, alone or afraid; then this program will help them get on the path to finding freedom for themselves from issues like peer pressure, rejection, poor body image, comparisons etc..
How will they be benefitted?
The adolescents will learn to manage crisis, handle insecurities, develop a healthy sense of worth and build their confidence. They will also develop a healthy mindset towards themselves and those around them.
What is the duration of this program?
The program is for 12 weeks with an hour each week. This gives the child time each week to outwork what he/she has learnt in the session.
How many hours are the sessions?
Each session is for 40 - 45mins per week with experiential learning tools incorporated at every session.
What is included in each session?
Session includes an icebreaker or starter activity. Real life stories are shared to motivate and inspire the kids to not give up or give in. The learner then engages in interactive group activity along with reflective moments to change beliefs, emotions and behaviours.
What are the key takeaways for the kids?
Every session the kids will get the 5 keys to freedom and a challenge for the week. They will get to take back a set of keys with the freedom phrases as a reminder to help them overcome different troubles. The challenge will do just that, challenge them to take small steps towards change.
What will the learners receive at the end of the program?
At the end of the program, each child is given a blank canvas to remind them that the sky is the limit and every day is a new day to start to dream. They will also get a certificate, an activity book and all the keys to freedom.
Can the kids take this program again?
Of course, a child can retake this program again and again as each time they walk through the freedom sessions, their sense of value and worth is cemented and their identity will be secured.
